Travertine/Limestone

Selected for its soft earthy look, Travertine comes in many shades... gold, beige, ivory, creams and even rust.

Used in countertops, tile flooring and fireplace surrounds, Travertine is a form of limestone. It is characterized by pitted holes and troughs in its surface, and is relatively soft compared to other natural stones. These natural characteristics are sometimes filled, for a smooth surface, or left unfilled, for a more rustic look. Another unique trait is the presence of fossils frequently visible in the stone surface. The soft look of Travertine is great for bathroom projects or fireplace surrounds.
