Unlike most natural stone, Soapstone is nonporous. The occasional use of an approved oil or a wax is all that's needed to bring out the beauty of the stone and help conceal small scratches.
Johnson Granite has created a food-safe Soapstone wax that is made from all natural waxes and oils. The application process is easy...just like waxing a car. Just one application of this product will leave your surface performing beautifully for months, or even years, to come.
Johnson Granite Soapstone Dry Wax: $35.00 ea
Well, I’ve tried mineral oil, cutting board wax (mineral oil and beeswax), Clark’s soapstone wax and yours.
After 2 applications with a few weeks in-between, Johnson’s [Soapstone Wax] wins hands down. I’m really pleased with the results. Over time I think it will get to the point of one or two application a year and less after that. I am really pleased with your wax!
